Accessibility Statement

In keeping with our commitment to accessibility in communications and logistics pertaining to Women's Worlds 2011, we have incorporated certain features into this website to support visitors with disabilities.

ACCESS KEYS

Most browsers support jumping to specific links by typing keys defined on the website. On Windows, you can press ALT + an access key; on Macintosh, you can press Control + an access key. The home page and all archives define the following access keys:

Access key 1 - home page
Access key 2 - skip to main content
Access key 3 - skip to navigation
Access key 4 - search box
Access key 0 - accessibility statement

The "Access Key" feature enables users (with disabilities, for instance) to navigate this website through the use of a keyboard instead of mouse. Linking through Access Keys:

Windows users: press the [Alt] button plus the Access Key
Internet Explorer users: press the [Alt] button plus the Access Key, then hit [Enter]
Mozilla and Netscape users: press the [Alt] button plus the Access Key
Mac users: press the [Ctrl] button plus the Access Key

OTHER FEATURES ON THIS WEBSITE

To assist people with visual impairments, there is complete structural separation of "text" from the "style" or "format", affecting its display by using external style sheets exclusively. Also, all "colour" elements are defined by external style sheets - there is no color-dependent text or content used anywhere on this site. All text is scalable larger or smaller using the browser's "text-size" function or our internal text scale function.
